About the team

The Analytics team supports key business decision making through the delivery of actionable insights based on accurate data to stakeholders across the Auctane e-commerce products. These responsibilities are delivered through close collaboration with internal teams, working on the definition & refinement of the KPIs, setting goals against these KPIs, measuring performance against these goals and recommending (and when applicable, implementing) actions to drive improved performance. In addition, the Analytics team leads the delivery of both standardized & ad-hoc reporting, analysis & insights to drive business decisions.

About the role

The Business Data Analyst at Auctane helps enable data-informed decision-making by developing reporting, performing analyses, and uncovering insights that support business growth, customer experience, and go-to-market execution. Working closely with senior analysts and cross-functional partners in Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success, this role focuses on supporting the development of dashboards, reports, and analyses that improve team visibility and decision-making. The role will contribute to strengthening Auctane’s analytics capabilities by helping maintain data assets and collaborating with business teams to deliver impactful solutions.

What will you be doing?

• Collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions while ensuring alignment and effective communication.
• Generate actionable insights to support both strategic initiatives and day-to-day operational execution.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable reporting systems and dashboards, including tactical, strategic, and executive-level views that inform decision-making across Auctane brands.
• Develop and maintain KPI reporting for core business areas such as Product, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
• Define, implement, and manage key data feeds from internal systems and external partners to support accurate business performance measurement.
• Work with large, complex datasets, ensuring data quality, accuracy, and consistency across the pipeline.
• Participate in and lead analytic projects from problem definition through analysis to the clear presentation of results.
• Promote adoption of analytics tools and reporting standards by delivering impactful reports, providing team training, and championing best practices.
• Demonstrate a strategic mindset, simplifying complexity through innovative and scalable analytics solutions that address evolving business needs.

What are we looking for?

• Two or more (2+) years experience in data-driven environments with an expert knowledge of SQL and translating complex datasets into clear business insights.
• Experience designing and creating dashboards for use by Executives and Analysts.
• Strong eye for detail and a passion for quickly delivering results for rapid action.
• Comfortable working in a highly collaborative, consensus-oriented environment.
• Excellent written, verbal, scientific communication and time management skills.
• Data visualization and storytelling: ability to turn complex data into clear insights.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience, as well as the ability to design and deploy clear reporting assets.
• Ability to work cross functionally to collaboratively understand and deliver on business needs.
• English fluency is required
