CoW DAO is on a mission to protect Ethereum users from the dangers of DeFi. It does this by supporting the development of CoW Protocol, CoW Swap, MEV Blocker, and CoW AMM, and by funding values-aligned projects through the CoW Grants Program. 

CoW Protocol is the second-largest DEX aggregator by monthly volume and the first-largest intents-based exchange. MEV Blocker is currently involved in ~4% of all Ethereum transactions, making it the category leader. CoW AMM is the only live AMM that protects LPs from LVR (loss-versus rebalancing). 

As a member of CoW DAO’s core team, you will have the opportunity to shape these essential products, and contribute to the Ethereum ecosystem more broadly.

About the Role

Location: We are a fully remote team, and although we hire almost globally, there is a preference for this role to be based in Europe or remote +/- 4 hours CEST time

📢 We're on the hunt for a Data/Product Analyst (open to both junior and senior levels) who loves diving into data to uncover impactful business insights.

You'll be key in driving data-backed decisions, collaborating with various teams, and ensuring our products continuously evolve to meet and exceed our users’ needs. We’re looking for someone who has strong cognitive thinking, problem-solving skills, and an innate curiosity to dig deeper—someone who is self-driven, independent, and hungry to translate raw data into actionable product strategies

What You’ll Be Doing

• Data Exploration: Gather and transform data from diverse sources to create insightful dashboards, reports, and visualizations

• Collaborative Metrics: Work closely with product, marketing, BD, and other teams to define and track metrics, KPIs, and success criteria for our initiatives

• Analytical Adventures: Tackle a variety of challenges using analytical and statistical methods, including designing and running experiments (like A/B tests) to validate ideas

• Trendspotting: Identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks to optimize product performance and guide our roadmap

• Storytelling with Data: Present your findings and recommendations with everyone from investors to engineers

• Framework Refinement: Continuously refine our analytical frameworks and work with our data engineer to keep our data infrastructure running smoothly

• Web3 Engagement: Stay engaged with the Ethereum and Web3 ecosystem, exploring new analytical tools for blockchain data

Tech & Tools You're Proficient In

• SQL Proficiency: For data querying and manipulation

• Scripting Skills: Familiarity with languages like Python for advanced analytics and automation

• Visualization Tools: Experience with data visualization tools (such as Dune, Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and spreadsheets (like Excel, Google Sheets) for quick data exploration

• Analytics Platforms: understanding of product analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics)

Bonus Points If You…

• Statistical Modeling: Have experience with statistical modeling or machine learning techniques

• DeFi Experience: Have worked in DeFi or Web3 before

• Automation Tools: Are adept with workflow automation or data pipeline tools (like Airflow, dbt)

• Impact Initiatives: Can share examples of high-impact insights or initiatives you've driven through data
