What we are looking for:
We’re looking for our first data hire, someone who can think strategically, but also can grow into a hands-on executor. We want someone who will shape the data architecture at Forage and is able to arm all departments with data-driven decision making capabilities.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Support the design and implementation of the company’s data pipeline and ETL processes, ensuring data flows efficiently and reliably from source systems to final storage.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to empower them to make data-driven decisions.
- Evaluate and recommend data infrastructure and analytics tools to support ongoing analysis and reporting needs.
- Develop, test, and optimize SQL and other queries to generate reports and dashboards that drive actionable insights.
Basic Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in Business Intelligence Engineering, Data Engineering or Data Analysis, and analyzing large datasets to solve problems
- Experience running large independent data projects
- Strong experience with SQL
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau)
- Understanding of data pipeline design
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, project management and engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Python
- Familiarity with AWS cloud data infrastructure tooling
- Building Data Pipelines
- Prior experience at a growth stage software company
- Fintech background

- Your base salary would fall within the bands below. Please keep in mind that the equity portion of your offer is not included in these numbers and represents a significant part of your total compensation.

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at our headquarters in San Francisco, California. Individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
