We are responsible for and coordinate the cooperation with national and international logistics partners. We always keep an eye on our relevant key figures and constantly develop our logistics processes to provide our customers with the best possible service (the best possible shopping experience). Together, we manage the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and transportation service providers, around the world. We use KPIs and reporting systems to coordinate and monitor the daily flow of goods and to continuously develop and adapt our existing logistics network and infrastructure. We take care of all logistics services for our warehouse network, all transport services and, of course, the packaging materials used. We do not focus on individual areas, but pursue a universal approach: we face the operational challenge and develop strategic recommendations for action. Job Description

As Data Analyst Logistics (m/f/d), you and your team will be responsible for developing and maintaining the logistics data set and data automation projects within the logistics department to improve quality and efficiency in the department and their decision making.

Responsibilites

  • You design, build, and maintain well-documented, reliable data pipelines using SQL and Python
  • You develop logical data models and implement data transformation that combine many data sources to provide accurate and easy to understand output for business users 
  • You are the technical owner of all relevant forecasting processes in the logistics department working together with business owners on regular improvements of accuracy and insights
  • You support the logistics department with automation projects reducing manual effort and complexity e.g. by automating the transportation pick up planning 
  • For automation projects you participate and support in the technical conception phase, taking over the development and implementation and supporting in the roll out phase for optimal results
  • You develop and enhance dashboards within Tableau, enabling comprehensive analyses through business intelligence tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor or master degree with relevant focus, e.g. in informatik, math or economics
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the area of data analytics
  • Ideally first work experience in eCommerce or logistics
  • Advanced SQL and python skills
  • Experience in cloud data platforms (e.g. GBQ) are beneficial
  • Experience with Gitlab versioning as well as knowledge of development best practices such as testing and CI/CD are beneficial
  • Experience in data visualization (Tableau skills are a plus)
  • Excellent analytical thinking, a passion for working with numbers, and the ability to deliver thoughtful solutions based on data analyses
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner
  • Self-driven, motivated and organized
