Data Analyst Summer Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to apply their academic knowledge in a professional setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in data analysis concepts and an eagerness to learn tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL. This role will support data-driven decision-making by assisting with data collection, reporting, and visualization projects.

Data Analysis and Reporting

• Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Support the development and maintenance of Excel models, including pivot tables and basic formulas.

• Help design and create basic reports and dashboards in Power BI under guidance from senior analysts.

Business Insights

• Analyze trends and patterns in data to support decision-making processes.

• Present findings in a clear and concise manner through reports and presentations.

Data Management

• Assist in managing and maintaining data repositories, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.

• Learn and apply automation techniques to improve data processes using Excel and Power Query.

Collaboration and Communication

• Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide support in developing solutions.

• Participate in training sessions to enhance data analysis and visualization skills.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization.

• Provide recommendations for improving data quality and reporting processes.

Education:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Skills:

• Basic knowledge of Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and data visualization tools).

• Familiarity with Power BI or similar data visualization tools (preferred but not required).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.

• Effective communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.

• Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts (preferred but not required).

This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in data analysis while allowing candidates to develop practical skills in a professional environment.
