JOIN THE COME AND SEE TEAM
Data Analyst, Insights & Governance
The greatest story ever told reaches further when leaders can see clearly what’s working and trust the data behind it. If you love turning questions into clear answers and see data stewardship as a way to serve people well – we’d love to meet you.
ABOUT US
Come and See is the faith-based nonprofit media ministry behind The Chosen. Our mission is inviting everyone to encounter Jesus through exceptional storytelling that brings the Bible to life. Our Team Members work together as collaborators in the greatest mission on earth.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Data Analyst, Insights & Governance will be the connector between our data and the people who use it, owning executive KPIs, turning stakeholder questions into clear analysis, and keeping our data practices documented, trustworthy, and compliant with global privacy standards. You will work alongside our data engineers and help shape what Cornerstone, our in-house executive analytics platform, measures and how leaders understand it.
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Colorado Springs, CO, with remote work considered for the right candidate.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own our executive KPIs. Define and maintain the KPI framework, and partner with leadership to shape executive views in Cornerstone covering audience reach, donor health, and ministry outcomes.
- Tell the story behind the numbers. Translate findings into concise narratives and recommendations that senior leaders can act on.
- Make sure leaders can trust what they see. Validate that Cornerstone dashboards and its AI chat agree with source data and with each other.
- Be a true analytics partner. Work with Marketing, Donor Development, Church Growth, and Digital Platforms to turn their questions into well-scoped requests and timely answers.
- Understand our donors and audiences. Analyze giving patterns, retention, lifetime value, and engagement across Virtuous, FundraiseUp, HubSpot, and web and app analytics.
- Design smart studies. Build and analyze surveys, A/B tests, and other studies using sound statistical methods, and help colleagues use data with confidence.
- Protect the people we serve. Coordinate day-to-day privacy operations, including consent audits, opt-out checks, data retention, and data subject requests, and maintain evidence for GDPR, CCPA, and emerging state requirements.
- Keep our data trustworthy and documented. Own the data dictionary, metric definitions, and runbooks, write and optimize SQL in Snowflake, and track data quality issues to closure with engineering.
- Use AI responsibly. Apply AI assistants within our Generative AI Use Policy to speed up analysis, and help evaluate the accuracy of AI-generated answers and reduce bias in our data and models.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or behavioral field (statistics, data science, computer science, economics, psychology, or similar) and 3+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, research, or analytics
- Advanced SQL, including complex joins, window functions, and data validation
- Proficiency in Python or R, with strong statistical and research methods, including survey design, segmentation, and experiment analysis
- Experience building dashboards or reports in a BI tool (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or similar); transferable skills matter more than any one tool
- Clear, structured writing for documentation and executive audiences, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing deadlines
- Working knowledge of data privacy principles (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, or similar) and careful handling of sensitive data
- A personal faith in Jesus and alignment with our mission, values, and Statement of Faith
BONUS POINTS: Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse; Virtuous, HubSpot, or FundraiseUp; RudderStack, PostHog, Google Analytics; consent management or privacy operations (OneTrust); AI assistants in analytics work; Git/GitHub, Jira, Confluence; a graduate degree; a portfolio of dashboards, analyses, or documentation; nonprofit, ministry, or mission-driven organizational experience.
BENEFITS: Medical, dental, vision, retirement match, HRA, disability and life insurance, generous and flexible time off, holidays, parental leave, and more.
OUR BELIEFS, CULTURE, AND COMMITMENT
At Come and See, every staff member is a critical and valuable part of our mission and ministry. We consider ministry readiness and an individual’s capacity to represent our culture and Christian beliefs during the selection process for all staff positions. An essential function within every position held by a staff member at Come and See is to uphold and represent Jesus in how we live and behave.
While we unite around our mission, we know unity doesn’t mean uniformity. Our calling is too great, and our mission is too important not to be intentional about strengthening our team with people from all backgrounds. We believe that varied perspectives—across race, ethnicity, life experience, age, and gender—enrich our ability to share the story of Jesus with the world and help everyone, everywhere, experience the authentic Jesus.
Come and See is an equal opportunity employer and as a religious organization, lawfully exercises its right under Title VII and applicable state law to employ individuals who share its religious beliefs.
