The Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Lead Data Engineer / Data Analyst to lead enterprise-wide data engineering, analytics, reporting, and regulatory data initiatives within the Banking and Financial Services domain. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Data Engineering, Python, SQL, PLSQL, ETL/ELT, Snowflake, Data Warehousing, MicroStrategy Reporting & BI, ODI, and Data Analytics, coupled with deep functional knowledge across Lending, Risk, Securities, Tax, Payments, Treasury, and Customer Data Management.

This role will be responsible for driving data strategy, data integration, business intelligence, regulatory reporting, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring data quality, governance, and operational excellence across critical banking data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Data Platform Management

  • Lead the design, development, and enhancement of enterprise data warehouse and data lake solutions.
  • Build and support scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, and reporting data marts.
  • Drive data integration initiatives across multiple banking platforms and source systems.
  • Establish data quality, reconciliation, lineage, metadata, and governance standards.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of enterprise data platforms.

Data Analysis & Business Intelligence

  • Analyze large and complex datasets to generate business insights and support decision-making.
  • Develop reporting frameworks, executive dashboards, KPI scorecards, and management information systems.
  • Perform data profiling, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and business impact assessment.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable analytical and reporting solutions.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to improve reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.

Oracle & SQL Development

  • Design and optimize Oracle database solutions supporting enterprise reporting and analytics.
  • Develop complex SQL and PL/SQL programs, procedures, packages, functions, and performance tuning solutions.
  • Perform data extraction, validation, transformation, and reconciliation activities.
  • Troubleshoot database performance, data integrity, and reporting-related issues.

Lending Data Management

  • Support end-to-end lending data covering loan origination, servicing, repayments, collateral, and exposure management.
  • Develop reporting and analytical solutions supporting credit risk and lending operations.
  • Ensure accurate lending data integration across upstream and downstream systems.

Risk & Regulatory Reporting

  • Support enterprise risk data platforms and regulatory reporting initiatives.
  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, and controls testing to meet compliance requirements.
  • Partner with Risk, Finance, Compliance, and Audit teams to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Support internal and external regulatory reporting submissions.

Securities & Capital Markets Data

  • Support securities reference data, trading, settlements, custody, and investment reporting functions.
  • Manage reconciliations and reporting across securities and capital market platforms.
  • Analyze transaction and holdings data to support operational and regulatory requirements.

Tax Data & Compliance Reporting

  • Support tax reporting processes and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Validate tax-related data and ensure data integrity across reporting platforms.
  • Support audit, compliance, and regulatory data requests.

Payments Data Management

  • Support payment processing platforms, transaction monitoring, clearing, settlements, and reconciliation activities.
  • Analyze payment transaction data and investigate operational exceptions.
  • Develop reporting solutions supporting payment operations and regulatory compliance.

Treasury Data Management

  • Support Treasury business functions including liquidity management, cash positioning, funding, investments, and financial risk reporting.
  • Develop and maintain Treasury reporting and analytical solutions.
  • Ensure accurate reconciliation and reporting of Treasury-related financial data.
  • Collaborate with Treasury stakeholders to enhance data quality and reporting capabilities.

Customer Data Management

  • Support Customer Master Data and Customer 360 initiatives.
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and governance across customer information systems.
  • Collaborate with business teams to develop customer analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Support regulatory requirements related to customer information management and compliance.

Production Support & Data Operations

  • Provide L2/L3 support for critical enterprise data platforms and reporting applications.
  • Lead incident resolution, problem management, and root cause investigations.
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs, operational KPIs, and production support standards.
  • Drive operational improvements through automation and process optimization.


Who You Are

Desired Candidate Profile

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Warehousing, and BI Reporting environments.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in DataIKU, MicroStrategy, Oracle, SQL, ODI,TWS and Reporting & BI platforms.
  • Extensive experience in Banking and Financial Services organizations.
  • Strong functional understanding of Lending, Risk, Securities, Tax, Payments, Treasury, and Customer Data domains.
  • Experience supporting regulatory reporting, management reporting, and enterprise analytics platforms.
  • Proven leadership experience managing global teams and stakeholder engagements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Experience working with senior business leaders, risk teams, and regulatory stakeholders.
