Highwire, a Veriforce company, is the Contractor Success Platform for asset owners, general contractors, and facilities managers. The world’s most admired organizations — including Skanska, Merck, and Bond Brothers — use Highwire to ensure their contractors and subcontractors deliver great work, on budget and on schedule, by collaborating with them to dynamically mitigate safety, financial, quality, and sustainability risks during capital projects and facilities maintenance.

To support our growth, we’re looking for a technically minded, detail-obsessed Data Analyst to own the integrity of our internal data. This role is perfect for someone who’s confident with SQL and eager to work directly with complex datasets.

Your mission:

Your mission is to ensure the data that powers Highwire — from customer renewal rates and campaign performance to financial reporting — is accurate, complete, and decision-ready. You’ll take ownership of the end-to-end accuracy of key datasets, using SQL to investigate anomalies, validate transformations, and deliver reliable data to teams across Product, Engineering, Finance, and other business functions. Your work will enable the entire company to move quickly and make informed decisions based on trustworthy data.

What you'll do:
  • Write and improve SQL queries that power reporting and analysis. You’ll support business teams by extracting and transforming data, building reusable queries, and collaborating with engineering to enhance data models and pipelines.
  • Deliver clean, trusted data. You’ll ensure that the data used across Finance, Product, Sales, and Engineering is accurate and reliable, enabling fast and confident decision-making and reducing rework and second-guessing.
  • Identify and fix root-cause issues. You’ll proactively identify bugs, inconsistencies, or oddities in the data that powers our reports, and collaborate with Engineering and Product to determine the root cause of the issue.
  • Enable real-time reporting. Department heads will rely on you for recurring and ad-hoc reports that are both timely and accurate. You’ll build reports that scale as our teams grow.
  • Continuously improve data quality. You won’t wait for others to flag data issues. Instead, you’ll take initiative to audit, investigate, and improve datasets before problems reach stakeholders.
Who you are:
  • Confident with SQL and eager to grow. You’re comfortable querying relational databases, navigating schemas, writing joins, and thinking in data logic.
  • Owner’s mindset. You feel a strong sense of responsibility for the quality of your work and the integrity of the data others rely on. If it’s broken, you’ll fix it.
  • Adaptable. You’re comfortable working with imperfect or incomplete data, and you adjust quickly to changing product requirements or business needs.
  • Analytical. You excel at analyzing large datasets, identifying patterns and anomalies, and transforming complex or ambiguous information into actionable insights.
  • Proactive collaborator. You don’t wait for someone else to raise a flag; you pull in the right people to get the right answer, fast.
  • Detail-oriented. You notice inconsistencies that others miss and take pride in spotting the one broken row in a dataset of thousands.

This is an ideal role for someone who is confident in writing SQL to explore, transform, and troubleshoot data in a relational database. You might come from a background in data analysis, analytics engineering, operational support, or even Excel/Sheets-heavy reporting work, but the key is that you’ve used SQL hands-on, and you’re excited to deepen that skill and partner closely with leaders across our organization to ensure our data is accurate, accessible, and trustworthy.

Attention to detail is a critical competency for success in this Data Analyst role. To help us identify candidates who read thoroughly, you’ll see a mystery question during the application process. The correct answer is: attention to detail.

Benefits:

Our benefits go well beyond the basics. To support your work-life integration, we built a benefits program that takes care of the whole person, including physical, mental, financial, and emotional health.

  • Medical, Dental, & Vision Insurance. We offer health, dental, and vision insurance to all full-time employees. Best part? You’ll be eligible on day one.
  • 401k. We offer a 401k and a 3% company contribution (even better than a match) to help you get ready to retire no matter how far off that seems.
  • Parental leave. We take care of new parents by offering paid time off for births, adoptions, and fostering.
  • Flexible PTO. Our culture of trust and measurement means there’s no limit on time off, just an expectation of performance.
  • Mentorship. Our office-based culture fosters meaningful learning, growth, and mentorship for our team.

At Highwire, our approach to compensation is simple: we hire exceptional people and pay them well.
