Position Summary

The Data Administrator is an individual contributor responsible for accurately entering, evaluating, maintaining, and adjusting master data — including pricing, product, and customer/vendor/address records — across P21 (ERP), CRM, and related systems of record. This role uses systemic tools, research, and subject-matter-expert feedback to validate data as error-free and current, and is critical to guaranteeing clean data that supports pricing integrity, sales credit, and reporting across the business.

Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Systems, this role may focus on a specific data domain (e.g., pricing, product, or address/customer data) or flex across domains based on business need, and partners closely with Strategic Pricing, Commercial Analytics & Reporting, and Subject Matter Experts across the business.

Core Areas of Focus

Pricing Data Administration

• Maintain price records, segment codes, and other pricing data in the ERP system in support of the pricing team’s objectives and sales initiatives

• Translate commercial agreements (customer and vendor) into digital pricing records; execute and test mass price record updates and modifications

• Accurately enter pricing changes as market conditions require, including customized pricing for sales teams

• Use system knowledge to help diagnose the root cause of transactional pricing data errors

Product & Address/Customer Data Administration

• Accurately assign products to generic product groups; recommend adding product groups as necessary

• Evaluate, maintain, and adjust address, customer, vendor, and ship-to data; recommend merging records that represent the same entity

• Use Excel and internet research to fill data gaps, filter, and assign data as necessary

• Work with Subject Matter Experts to resolve questions on product, address, or customer data fields

Data Quality & System Support

• Use system tools and reports to ensure the ongoing accuracy of master data

• Transcribe or code source data into the format required for data entry

• Participate in company quality initiatives and comply with Standard Operating Procedures

• Support cross-functional data requests and dataflow updates in partnership with Commercial Systems and Commercial Analytics & Reporting

Additional Support

• Perform other data assignment tasks, duties, and special projects as assigned

Key Internal Partnerships

• Manager, Commercial Systems — Direct supervision, data priorities, and escalation

• Strategic Pricing — Pricing changes, segment codes, and mass price updates

• Commercial Analytics & Reporting — Data definitions, hierarchy accuracy, and reporting quality

• Subject Matter Experts (Sales, Product, Purchasing) — Validation and resolution of data questions

• IT — System tools, error tables, and technical support
