Standard Hours Bi-Weekly:  75 

Start Date:  Immediately 

Salary:  Level 9 Step 1 ($108,595.50 annually) 

 

Closing Date 4:00pm (YST):  August 7, 2026 

 

Reporting to the Director of Heritage, the Dänoją̀’ Zho Manager plans, coordinates and oversees the daily operations of the Dänoją̀’ Zho Cultural Centre (DZCC). This includes general administration, jëje’in supervision, facility operations and maintenance, exhibit development and the development and delivery of DZCC programs and visitor services. 

 

An Eligibility List may be established from this competition – the duration of the eligibility list may be up to 12 months. The eligibility list may be used to fill future permanent full-time, permanent part-time, temporary full-time, temporary part-time, term, or auxiliary on-call vacancies within the same department and classification based on the organizational needs by going the next highest ranked candidate until the eligibility list expires.

Essential Qualifications:  

  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in heritage resources, museum studies, tourism, business administration, Indigenous studies or a related discipline, along with two years of relevant work experience; an equivalent combination of education, knowledge, skills and experience may be considered.  
  • Strong supervisory skills, including managing jëje’in scheduling and performance. 
  • Knowledge or experience in marketing and communications, including design and production. 
  • Knowledge and experience in budget management and funding proposal administration. 
  • Experience with operating audio-visual equipment. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint). 
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to First Nations history, culture, traditions and values. 
  • Strong budget development and management skills. 

 

Assets:  

  • Experience working in the service industry is an asset. 
  • Experience working with heritage-based organizations or with exhibit design is an asset. 
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and meet critical deadlines with minimal supervision. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as work effectively in a team environment 

 

Conditions of Employment:
