Systems Administrator

What will you do every day in the Systems Admin role?
- Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
- Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
- Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing impact of issues
- Provide documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure
- Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
- Assist with desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions
- Responsible for capacity, storage planning, and system performance
Minimum requirements will include:
- Associates or Bachelor s degree in Technology or Computer Science
- 2-3 years of network administration, or systems administration experience
- Certifications and continuing education preferred
- Experience in Meraki and Nutanix systems
- Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocols
- Experience with scripting and automation tools
- Proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans
- Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operation best practices
- Expert knowledge of security storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
- Knowledge of Active Directory/Group Policy management and deployment
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills required
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
- Strong knowledge of project management principles
- Superb customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
You must be reliable and have a solid work history to be seriously considered for the position. A completed pre-employment drug screen and background check will be conducted.
Position hours: Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8am - 5pm.
