As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will lead the life cycle development for products across the company. You will interface with customers to define what capabilities they need to tackle their problems. You will work with a cross-functional team within Shield AI to implement the customer needs, plan verification activities, collect and analyze verification data to assess product performance, identify a product’s design strengths and areas for improvement, and communicate results and recommendations within the engineering organization via detailed test reports.
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering related field.
- B.S. degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline, such as Aerospace, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with Systems Engineering practices and principals, including writing, organizing, and verifying requirements.
- Experience in reading, interpreting, and applying engineering drawings, including assembly drawings, parts lists, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Experience with reliability and trend analysis.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbally.
- Demonstrated record of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance. US citizenship is required as only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred qualifications:
- M.S. degree in STEM discipline.
- Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering Tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler.
- Experience with requirements management tools such as Borland Caliber, DOORS, or Jama.
- Experience in failure modes and mechanisms related to the assembly, test, and repair of complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with VTOL aircraft
- Experience with DO-160, ARP4754A, business jet, helicopter, electric aircraft, and aircraft OEM requirements
- Experience working in the DoD customer community (US Army, US Air Force, US Navy)

Salary Range: $120,000 - $175,000 Annually + Bonus + Benefits + Equity (if applicable)
