Department OverviewWithin the Product and Services Threat Management Group, the Motorola Solutions Red Team’s mission is to challenge the security posture of all MSI products and services and to provide expert analysis that enables a secure robust product platform for our first responder customers. Job Description
As a Penetration Tester in our Products and Services Red Team, you will have the opportunity to apply your cybersecurity knowledge, skills, and experiences to mission-critical products and services. You will be part of a diverse international Red Team that values technical growth and career development. You will work with all areas of the company to establish meaningful relationships, drive cybersecurity culture and directly influence the way we create secure, market-leading, mission-critical products. This position has less than 10% travel and can be USA-based fully remote.
Your day to day responsibilities will include the following:
- Assist in the planning and execution of penetration tests
- Documentation and report writing
- Data, code, and vulnerability analysis
- Tool and script development
- Lead research and training
- Be a subject matter expert and technical resource

Technical Skills:
- An expert understanding of Mitre ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and other cybersecurity frameworks, models, and methodologies
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in one or more of the following: Networking, Windows/Linux, Cloud, Virtualization, Container technology
- Expert level skills with many of the following: Ansible, Bash, Powershell, Perl, Python, Assembly, C/C++, C#, Javascript, Java
- The ability to perform penetration testing activities on various technology areas like Cloud or Network Infrastructure, Web Applications, Firmware, Embedded or Mobile OS and Apps
Additional Qualified Skills:
- The ability to lead a research or penetration testing project independently, for the full project lifecycle
Qualifications/Certifications:
One or more of the following are desired: OSCP, OSWE, OSED, OSEE, OSWP, OSEP, GPEN, GWAPT, GMOB, GCPN, GAWN, GXPN, and/or the ability to pass OSCP within 6 months of hire
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience and/or military service
- 3+ Years of experience in information security or a technical role
- 3+ Years of active hands-on experience in performing penetration tests/ethical hacking as a primary responsibility
