We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an IT Support Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing technical assistance to our end users and contributing to the smooth operation of our IT systems. You will primarily focus on handling level 1 help desk requests, assisting with basic Active Directory and Office 365 admin functions, and contributing to various IT infrastructure projects.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide legendary customer service to end users by responding to and resolving level 1 help desk requests via email or in person.
  • Assist in assigning and tracking tickets to appropriate IT team members for advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues related to end user devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
  • Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of end user hardware and peripherals.
  • Assist in managing user accounts, password resets, and permissions within Active Directory and Office 365 environments.
  • Participate in routine system maintenance tasks, including software updates, patches, system monitoring, and network performance.
  • Contribute to IT infrastructure projects by assisting in planning, implementation, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to improve and streamline IT processes and procedures.

What you bring to the table:

  • 1 to 2 years of work experience in an IT Support Role (IT support in an office environment preferred)
  • Strong interest in IT and a desire to develop technical skills
  • Working knowledge of Windows/Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and general IT concepts
  • Knowledge of how computer Wifi, printer, A/V connection works
  • Working knowledge in network hardware and concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLAN, firewalls)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, collaboratively, take initiatives, and be a self-starter
  • Strong creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Continuous learning mindset and adapt to new technologies and tools
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Office 365 administration is a plus
  • Custom computer building experience is a plus
