Howmet Engines is looking for a Grinder candidate in our Grinding Department. This position is in their manufacturing facility in Rochester, NY.

- Must be able to utilize power tools, air arching equipment and billet grinders to smooth and deburr parts, selecting speeds, feeds and wheels to maintain finishes
- Work as a grinder using a hand grinder or swing grinder to grind edges or surfaces of either billets of cut metal or blank rings to specifications outlined by management
- Assist in setups where additional departmental manpower will aid production
- Move parts within WIP to the next scheduled department
- Remove metal parts from a furnace and feed them to the press operator on a manufacturing large press
- Must be able to drive a propane powered forklift
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing facility
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
