DHL Supply Chain is in the process of developing and deploying a Global Billing Solution to better manage and standardize our complex billing processes. Over the next several years, this role will play a vital part of helping define and develop this solution. The Lead Design and Configuration Specialist works with business process experts, operations experts and IT experts to help translate and validate the business system solutions in the area of Order to Cash and Billing.

Job Description
  • Ability to develop the overall project work plan - specifically in the estimating of analytical tasks (e.g. - functional gap analysis estimates)
  • Reviewing of internal functional specifications or vendor quotations/functional specifications in the context of planning for application design, construction and technical testing considerably complex solutions
  • Effective assessment of considerably complex project risks and development of timely, proactive plans to mitigate risk factors
  • Ability to conceptualize a solution of significant scope across multiple applications and/or platforms
  • Coordinates and manages planning of the system and acceptance tests within a development or integration project or programm
  • Recommend considerably complex solution sets or customizations that meet or exceed the requirements of business partners
  • Develop estimates in support of IT's response to business partner requests for considerably complex business systems solutions. Also Develop and deliver considerably complex system demonstrations
  • Exceptional ability to track spend against budget
  • Directs the development and management of fiscal budget for the assigned sector
  • Provides exceptional vendor co-ordination and management skills in the context of planning for overall project/service delivery
  • Exceptional management and co-ordination of productive business relationships with all levels of vendor
  • Exceptional management and co-ordination of suppliers' testing strategy and capabilities
What are we looking for from you?
  • Strategic thinker, inquisitive and customer centric
  • Strong Stakeholder management experience with the ability to influence other specialist departments and 3rd parties
  • Experience required in managing global and cross functional projects and programs, delivering organizational change
  • Experience in delivering complex solutions in a matrix organization across geographical boundaries
  • Working experience in an international logistics environment in transport and operations roles
  • Exceptional industry specific knowledge (e.g. - billing, finance processes, warehouse management, transportation management)
  • Accepts considerable responsibility for portions of, or overall, project/service success
  • Understand the overall business strategy and apply this understanding to assist in the development of the regional IT strategy
  • Experienced and effective ability to propose, refine, and implement project standards, policies, procedures, and methodologies for DHL IT
Required Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience, required
  • 8+ years' experience working within Oracle EBS/ERP or Blue Yonder support roles, preferred
  • 8+ years' experience in an IT environment, required
  • Project Management Qualifications, required
