Key Role:
Bring in-depth understanding and expertise to one or more aspects of service or joint missions, processes, and culture. Apply advanced consulting skills or extensive technical expertise; full industry knowledge. Develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Work without considerable direction; mentor and may supervise team members.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with creating and maintaining effective client, stakeholder and internal relationships and subject matter expertise in support of DoD and non-DoD Government agencies, including the Department of State, U.S. Agency for International Development, the Department of Justice, the Department of Commerce, and the Intelligence Community
- Experience working, coordinating and collaborating in an interagency community capacity
- Experience with modern office, collaboration, and information management tools, including Microsoft Office, Adobe Connect, Microsoft SharePoint
- Knowledge of US security, defense and military policies, strategies, plans, and programs to ensure effective and consistent use of the full range of various elements of national power related to operations, activities and investments
- Ability to understand, design, and execute roles in team and project management, wargames or exercises, partner nation engagements, and other meetings or conferences
- Ability to lead project planning teams, author white papers, conduct briefing presentations, memos, and other correspondence for senior leaders, and help to analyze current processes for the purposes of process improvement
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience working in the Department of State, a Combatant Command, The Joint Staff, a Military Service HQ staff, or in the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy
- Knowledge of security sector assistance, security cooperation, and institutional capacity building
- Knowledge of theories and principles of international relations, economics, history, geography, or other related disciplines applied in analyzing and evaluating factors and conditions involved in the administration of U.S. foreign and national security policy
- Master's degree in National Security, International Relations, or Political Science
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
