JOB DESCRIPTION:

Serves as a Blue Team (BT) Vulnerability Assessment Team Lead (ATL). Leads the coordination and collaboration of Blue Team Vulnerability Assessments. Provides project management oversight to staff members, perform collaboration with key stakeholders, and provides hotwashes, outbriefs, and assessment final report to management and key stakeholders. Ensures creation of team composition in support of performing the BT-VA with skilled staff membersProvide briefings to senior staff officers and government officials as necessary. Serve as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research and development (R&D) studies and applications as requested.

Architects, plans, configures, deploys, maintains, and upgrades Blue Team Vulnerability Assessments COTS/GOTS and custom toolsets to address vulnerabilities. Applies a combination of expert engineering knowledge of enterprise IT and security solutions to design, develop and/or implement solutions to ensure they are consistent with enterprise architecture security policies and support full spectrum. Recommend additional security requirements and safeguards as needed. Support cyber metrics development, maintenance and reporting procedures. Assist in the implementation of the required government policy (i.e., ICD 503, NISPOM and NIST- RMF), and provides recommendations on process tailoring.

Research, evaluate and recommend new security tools, techniques, and technologies and introduces them to the enterprise in alignment with IT security strategy. Support formal Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) required by each government accrediting authority through pre-test preparations, participation in the tests, analysis of the results, and preparation of required reports. Periodically conducting reviews of various system's audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed. Participates with senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Apply advanced technical principles, theories, and concepts. Contribute to development of new principles and concepts. Recommend/makes decisions on administrative or project work matters and ensures effective achievement of program, project, or organizational objectives.

Qualifications

TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and twelve (12) years or more experience; Masters and nine (9) years or more experience; PhD or JD and six (6) years or more experience. DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 IAT/IAM III or IASE Level II Certification

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
  • SANs GIAC certification ( e.g., GPEN or GW APT)
