Job Description:
Provide hardware (desktop/laptop/mobile devices) support to end-users. You will assist with the installation, rollout, and maintenance of new software packages, upgrades, and new workstation hardware. Perform basic troubleshooting of routine hardware and software using pre-established standard operating procedures. The level of work required is considered entry level and staff will work under guidance. You will not have any direct reports. You will report to the Client Technical Support Team Lead. You will have no direct reports.
Your Responsibilities:
- Perform basic troubleshooting and apply corrective actions remotely or at the end user's location to resolve problems
- Support all computing hardware, operating systems, and applications under guidance
- Provide updates to clients with identified problem(s), research answers, guide client through solutions and follows up on resolved issues
- Document problems and resolutions completely and escalates issues to senior members of team
- Configure and deploy new hardware (desktop/laptop, mobile devices, and printers) and software
- Provide status reports and problem summaries
Your Background:
- Coursework in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows and common enterprise software
- Apply and maintain basic knowledge of procedures in the field of specialization to the completion of assignments
- Computer programming knowledge
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Phone/remote/on-site troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills in technical and operational situations
- Communication and phone etiquette skills
- Technical writing skills
- Independent thinking and decision-making skills
Other Requirements:
