The Cybersecurity Engineer role is a vital part of our Cybersecurity Engineering team in the InfoSec organization. This is a hands-on security engineering role ensuring the secure operation of the IQVIA global information technology (IT) infrastructure and processes through operating and maintaining our security safeguards.
You will be part of a global structure partnering with the IT community and business teams and delivering an ongoing IQVIA Global Information Security program. You will contribute to success of the Cyber Fusion Center work stream through operation of advanced technologies that provide adequate protection against the threats to information systems and in particular, the data assets.
Your primary responsibilities
· Design, implement and improve IQVIA cybersecurity systems
· Configure, troubleshoot and maintain security infrastructure
· Evaluate tools, develop use cases, and document effectiveness of new tools and technologies to meet those use cases
· Engage and work with vendors on projects and current security controls improvement
· Initiate, execute and complete project plans
· Document and maintain designs for security controls
· Keep abreast with current security threats, trends and controls
Required Experience and Qualifications
· 4+ years of professional experience in Information Security/IT Systems/Network Administration and Engineering
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information technology
· Experience with maintenance of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools in large organizations
· Knowledge and experience with one or more of the following areas: EDR, endpoint security, automation and scripting, DLP, SOAR, CTI, e-mail security, CASB, CSPM, CWPP
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Knowledge of information security concepts and best practices, as well as ability to apply these concepts into the business
· Excellent written and presentation skills, with ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to interact effectively with leadership, solution architecture, software engineering, testing and infrastructure teams
· Track record of successfully working in large/complex global organizations
· Certifications in the information security domain are a great plus
· Knowledge of cloud architecture and security (AWS, Azure) is desired
