The Attractions Operational Technology (AOT) Cybersecurity team provides services and solutions to secure and enhance the reliability of the computer and control networks on which the rides and shows run in our theme parks. This is done through risk evaluation, collaboration, standardization, enforcement, and education across the business segment. Our team is engaged in both the new themed attractions as well as our legacy attractions. The team roles are divided amongst design and architecture, monitoring and logging, and vulnerability management.
We are looking for a team member with a passion for security in an operational
technology setting. The successful candidate will demonstrate a friendly,
collaborative approach to applying their skills - both through requesting and offering feedback to the team members that surround them.
The AOT Cybersecurity team partners with many other divisions to design, build and integrate cybersecurity solutions that proactively protect Disney assets, systems, data, and guests in our parks.
This is a 24 month Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement.
What You'll Do:
Work with a larger Operational Technology Cybersecurity team at the Disneyland Resort to:

  • Administer firewall configurations on new and existing attractions
  • Perform physical firewall installations
  • Contribute to network design architecture standards
  • Administer deployed VPN solutions
  • Optimize security tool deployments and introduce scalable processes across Cybersecurity capabilities
  • Partner with system engineering groups to maintain reliability and availability of our attractions


Required Qualifications & Skills :

  • Minimum 3 years of related work e xperience deploying and maintaining hardware and software based firewalls
  • Network security knowledge
  • Experience deploying and administering VPN solutions
  • Experience with Virtual Machine configuration
  • Ability to work individually with minimal supervision and as an integral part of a team
  • Knowledge in network and system security procedures, best practices, and implementation & analysis of network documentation and diagramming
  • Able to work non-traditional hours (occasional weekends, evenings, and holidays), in non-traditional settings. This can include backstage areas that could involve dark spaces, elevated walkways, and industrial environments


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in an entertainment venue or attractions/theme park industry
  • Configuration Management Automation and/or scripting experience (Python/Bash)


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience


Preferred Education:

  • One or more general security certifications including PCNSE, Security+, CySA+, CCNA Cyber Ops, AWS, GSEC, GICSP, CISSP, or other relevant certifications
  • One or more vulnerability assessment or auditing certification including CISSA, CISM, GCCC, GSNA or other relevant certifications


The hiring range for this position in California is $102,500.00 to $137,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
