Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled cybersecurity consultant with expertise in handling SIM Swap compromises and cryptocurrency-related investigations. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of technical and advisory skills to address complex security challenges.

In this role, you will be an integral part of our innovative compliance initiatives, working closely with the Digital Investigation & Discovery group. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the success of high-profile projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • SIM Swap Compromise Handling:

    • Manage and mitigate SIM Swap compromises.
    • Understand and address technical mechanisms and related forms of social engineering.
    • Advise on 2-factor/multi-factor authentication compromises.
  • Cryptocurrency Investigations:

    • Utilize digital forensics and cybersecurity skills in cryptocurrency-related investigations.
    • Recover seed phrases, wallet IDs, and transaction IDs from chat message platforms, cloud systems, and computers.
  • Digital Asset Tracing:

    • Employ open source and licensed digital asset tracing tools such as TRM Labs, Elliptic, Breadcrumbs, etc.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Experience working in a cybersecurity role within a financial services organization or as a consultant for financial services clients.
  • Specific experience handling SIM Swap compromises and related security issues.
  • Proficiency in digital forensics and cybersecurity techniques, particularly in cryptocurrency investigations.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to lead team-oriented projects and tasks within a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced decision-making and problem-solving skills under pressure, as well as a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic, eagerness for continued development, and motivation to succeed.
  • Ability to interact confidently with senior team members and clients.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate new technologies and workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant InfoSec certifications such as CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), or CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker).
  • Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks such as NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology), ISO 27001, or GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).
  • Familiarity with blockchain analysis tools and techniques.
  • Experience in conducting security audits and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of advanced threat detection and incident response strategies.

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to sit for long period of time
  • Must be comfortable to work in a remote and/or hybrid environment
  • Must be flexible to work outside of the 8:30am – 5:30pm business hours if needed
  • Must be flexible to travel

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $48 - $72/HR. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
