• Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 plus comprehensive benefits package. Final compensation will depend on qualifications, experience, level, and program requirements.
• Years of Industry Experience:
  • Mid-Level: 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Senior-Level: 7+ years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years of specialized experience in Information Systems Security Management.
• Security Clearance Requirement: Must have an Active DoD Secret Clearance (or interim) at the start of employment and be eligible to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) Clearance.

About the Role.

G2 Ops supports mission-critical defense and technology initiatives by solving complex operational and engineering challenges. We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Mid-Senior Cyber Analyst to support the PAE Mission Systems (MS) Chief Engineer (CHENG) organization.

In this role, you’ll provide CHENG-level Continuous Monitoring (ConMon) technical assessment and oversight of cybersecurity posture across PAE MS programs using available continuous monitoring data, cybersecurity tools, and program-level reporting. You’ll evaluate cybersecurity risk and control effectiveness across programs, identify recurring and enterprise-level trends, and work with program teams to drive appropriate remediation and technical action.

What You’ll Do

• Review and assess cybersecurity posture using vulnerability findings, security-control status, remediation activity, network and security information, and other available ConMon data.
• Evaluate outputs from cybersecurity capabilities including ACAS/Tenable, SIEM, network monitoring, endpoint security, GRC platforms, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and CSSP/CND tools.
• Assess how cybersecurity tools and data sources collectively support effective continuous monitoring and identify gaps in coverage, visibility, or control effectiveness.
• Correlate cybersecurity information across multiple tools, systems, and programs to identify systemic risks, recurring vulnerabilities, and enterprise-level trends.
• Evaluate remediation activities and coordinate with program cybersecurity and engineering teams to address identified risks and technical gaps.
• Provide technical recommendations and supporting analysis to CHENG leadership regarding cybersecurity posture, risk, and required follow-on actions.
• Support the development of cybersecurity assessments, briefings, metrics, and technical documentation for Government stakeholders.
• Coordinate across engineering, cybersecurity, RMF, network, and program teams to improve visibility and consistency of continuous monitoring activities.

What You’ll Bring

Required Qualifications

• Strong background in cybersecurity engineering, cybersecurity operations, or continuous monitoring.
• Experience interpreting vulnerability, network, endpoint, security-control, and cybersecurity monitoring data.
• Working knowledge of ACAS/Tenable, SIEM, firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, GRC, and network-monitoring technologies.
• Understanding of cybersecurity risk management, vulnerability remediation, security controls, and defense-in-depth concepts.
• Familiarity with RMF, STIGs/SRGs, and DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Ability to correlate cybersecurity information across multiple tools, systems, and programs to identify systemic risk and gaps in monitoring coverage or control effectiveness.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across technical teams, program leadership, and Government stakeholders.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting ACAT or other major DoD acquisition programs.
• Experience supporting Department of the Navy, NAVWAR, NIWC Pacific, or similar DoD organizations.
• Familiarity with Navy CSSP/CND capabilities and cybersecurity governance processes.
• Experience performing cybersecurity assessments across multiple systems or programs rather than supporting a single system or network.

Compensation & Benefits. The annual salary range for this position is $120,000 – $180,000, depending on qualifications, experience, and the level at which the candidate is hired.
