Cyber Security Specialist
Location: Greenwood Village, CO
CLP Engineering is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to join our team at our corporate location in Greenwood Village, CO.
CLP Engineering (CLPE) is a full-service electric utility solutions engineering firm with more than twenty years’ experience in electrical utility system ownership, upgrades, maintenance and operations through our sister company, City Light & Power. CLPE offers a wide range of power system engineering services to investor-owned, municipal, cooperative, government, industrial, and commercial customers.
The Cyber Security Specialist will manage CLPE's Operational Technology (OT) network systems ensuring effective cybersecurity operations. This position plays a pivotal role in performing professional and technical duties related to cybersecurity such as implementation of new security solutions, incident response and maintaining protections from unauthorized users.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop site specific OT cyber security controls implementation plan/procedure based on Company’s cybersecurity policies.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders within operations, and implement operation technology (OT) cyber security control measures including training, documentation, enforcement, monitoring, and reporting structure
- Closely coordinate OT cyber security controls measures implementation with CLP’s IT and cyber security committee
- Adapt and refine daily operations, updating security processes and implementing new defensive measures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of day-to-day cybersecurity operations.
- Conduct cybersecurity assessments for non-IT systems, such as SCADA, smart field devices, SCADA, automation, industrial control systems (ICS), embedded systems, and physical systems
- Design and implement secure architectures for OT/ICS, including network segmentation, access controls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Perform analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements & safeguards.
- Regularly test and assess systems to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
- Establish OT related cyber security incident response procedures, providing technical expertise and contributing to execution
- Help refine OT cyber security policies and procedures, including access controls, incident response protocols, and security standards.
- Provide technical and quality requirements for projects that require OT cyber security measures and manage cyber security risks and issues during the planning, design, and implementation phases.
- Develop training contents, plans, schedule, and provide necessary cybersecurity training to employees.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in cybersecurity technology including new or revised security solutions, NIST standards, NERC CIPs, improved security processes, and the development of new security threats and attack vectors.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or related field required.
- Minimum of three (3+) years’ experience in OT cybersecurity.
- Experienced with obtaining an Authority To Operate (ATO) for DoD/Federal Government OT systems.
- Knowledgeable with standards such as the UFC, NIST, NERC CIPs, and FERC regulations related to cyber security is required.
- Must have strong planning, coordination, documentation and scheduling skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Travel:
- Up to 40% travel to project site locations.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
- You must be a US Citizen.
- You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance.
- A valid driver’s license with a record that meets the CLP Fleet Policy.
Benefits & Compensation:
- We offer an excellent benefits package that includes medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, 401k with company contribution, paid time off and paid holidays.
- Salary range: $100,000-$135,000/year based on experience plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
