Position Summary

The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer – Network Security will lead the design, engineering, implementation, and continuous improvement of network security controls across a globally distributed industrial manufacturing environment. The role will secure enterprise networks, cloud connectivity, remote access, and IT/OT boundaries while ensuring resilient, scalable, and compliant security architecture across regions.

Work this position does

  • Design, implement, and maintain global network security architecture, standards, and engineering baselines.
  • Administer and optimize next-generation firewalls, network segmentation, secure remote access, VPN, SASE/SSE, IDS/IPS, and related security controls.
  • Strengthen IT/OT segmentation and secure connectivity to manufacturing sites, plants, data centers, and industrial systems in coordination with OT and plant engineering teams.
  • Lead firewall rule reviews, access-control assessments, network security hardening, configuration reviews, and remediation of identified weaknesses.
  • Support security incident response by investigating network-based threats, analyzing traffic and logs, implementing containment measures, and coordinating with the SOC and incident response teams.
  • Manage network security changes, upgrades, lifecycle management, high availability, disaster recovery, and configuration backups.
  • Establish global network security standards while accommodating regional regulatory requirements, data residency constraints, and operational needs.
  • Evaluate new technologies, identify architectural gaps, and develop roadmaps for network security modernization.

  • Experience with SASE/SSE platforms, cloud network security, zero-trust network access, and hybrid enterprise connectivity.
  • Knowledge of industrial cybersecurity and OT environments, including Purdue-model concepts, industrial DMZs, secure remote vendor access, and segmentation of manufacturing networks.
  • Familiarity with IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST SP 800-82, and relevant regional regulatory requirements.
  • Experience integrating network security telemetry with SIEM/SOC platforms and supporting threat detection, investigation, and incident containment.
  • Experience in global manufacturing, industrial machinery, engineering, automotive, chemicals, food processing, or other environments with operationally critical sites.
