We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer – Vulnerability Management to join our team based in Huntingwood NSW. This unique role will join our global Cyber Defense Centre team contributing to the global vulnerability management lifecycle. Your responsibilities:
- Plan and execute internal penetration testing across infrastructure, web applications, APIs and cloud environments, providing actionable findings and remediation guidance.
- Take the lead on enterprise vulnerability assessments ensuring broad and continuous coverage across systems, applications and cloud environments, identifying and analyzing security vulnerabilities with clear risk context to support remediation prioritization.
- Architect, operate and continuously enhance the enterprise vulnerability management platform and scanning infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance and seamless integration with other security tools and workflows.
- Design and implement automation strategies to optimize vulnerability detection, assessment and remediation workflows.
- Develop and maintain security tooling, scripts and platform integrations to support and extend vulnerability management capabilities.
- Evaluate, integrate and operationalize AI-driven approaches and tools to improve vulnerability detection, risk prioritization and security assessment workflows.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of vulnerability management processes, policies and standards.
- Participate in the global Cyber Security Global Team calls (this can be local evening time)
Requirements for success:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Information Security or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience with hands‑on vulnerability management, penetration testing and security automation.
- Strong offensive security skills (web, API, infrastructure).
- Proficient in scripting for automation (Python, Bash, JavaScript) and experience integrating security tooling/platforms via APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP) and AI‑driven vulnerability tools; relevant certifications (OSCP, CEH, GPEN, GWAPT) desirable.
