We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Consultant/Architect with a deep understanding of telecom network security to join our team. You will be responsible for providing expert security guidance, designing secure network solutions, and implementing best practices for our complex and dynamic telecom network infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of security principles, methodologies, and best practices specifically tailored to the telecom industry, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert security consulting services: Advise clients on best practices for securing their telecom networks, including threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Design and architect secure network solutions: Develop and implement secure network architectures, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection systems, VPNs, and network segmentation, tailored to the specific needs of telecom clients.
  • Conduct security assessments and audits: Identify vulnerabilities and security weaknesses in existing telecom networks and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures: Work with clients to establish comprehensive security policies and procedures that align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay abreast of emerging security threats and vulnerabilities: Focus on threats and vulnerabilities specific to the telecom industry and recommend appropriate countermeasures for the network.
  • Participate in incident response activities: Provide technical expertise and guidance related to security incidents affecting the telecom network.
  • Develop and deliver security awareness training programs: Tailor training programs to the specific needs of personnel involved in managing and operating the telecom network.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's overall security strategy: Focus on the security strategy for the telecom network and its integration with the broader organizational security strategy.
    • Often leads longer-term MSS complex improvement projects with moderate resource requirements, risk and complexity.
     
Qualifications

Must-have skill: 

  • Telecom Security Architecture – 7–10 years of experience in cybersecurity, network security architecture, or security consulting within the telecom industry, with strong knowledge of telecom security principles and best practices.
  • Network Security & Secure Design – Proven experience designing secure telecom networks, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, network segmentation, and related security controls.
  • Telecom Protocols & Security Standards – Strong understanding of SS7, Diameter, SIP and their security implications, along with practical knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, or equivalent security frameworks.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills – Strong threat/risk analysis, problem-solving, stakeholder communication, presentation skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple projects.

    Good -To- Have -Skills

  • Security Certifications – CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 LA/LI, ITIL V3/V4, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications.
  • Academic Qualification – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Advanced Telecom Security Expertise – Experience applying security frameworks and methodologies specifically to large-scale telecom networks and infrastructure.
  • Project & Stakeholder Management – Ability to prioritize multiple initiatives, manage competing deliverables, and effectively collaborate with architecture, engineering, SOC, and business teams.
