Your Mission
Support Cyber Security Defensive Operations by configuring and maintaining a high-fidelity Cyber Range environment consisting of hundreds to thousands of VMs, physical and virtual network devices, and firewalls. You will leverage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles using Terraform, Ansible, VMware, and automation tools to ensure seamless, scalable, and efficient network operations.
Collaborate closely to design and implement training environments, force-on-force exercises, and infrastructure simulations. Work alongside software engineers, system administrators, network engineers, and systems engineers to develop innovative solutions for complex cyber challenges.
You Will Excel in This Role If You Are:
- A network engineer with strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, and Ansible
- Experienced in building and maintaining networks with both physical and virtual infrastructure
- Skilled in automating network environments using scripting languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Batch, or Python
- Familiar with cybersecurity tools, network configurations, and operational testing in a cyber range environment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with evolving customer requirements
A Day in the Life Of:
- Configuring and automating network environments to support cyber operations and training exercises
- Working with Hunt, Red, and Blue Teams to tailor cyber range configurations to specific mission needs
- Implementing and maintaining next-generation firewalls, DNS, DHCP, NTP, Syslog, and other core network services
- Deploying and managing virtualized infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration across multiple nodes and sites
- Collaborating with a cross-functional team to enhance network automation and security capabilities
Must Haves:
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor's degree + 8 years of experience (or equivalent: Master’s + 6, Associate’s + 10, High School/GED + 12)
- Strong experience in network/system administration and cyber operations
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and Ansible
- Hands-on experience configuring and managing virtualized infrastructure and firewalls (Palo Alto, McAfee)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Batch, Python)
- Deep understanding of Windows/Linux operating systems, application behaviors, and network traffic analysis
Nice to Have:
- Experience in an Agile development and DevOps environment
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker
- Knowledge of penetration testing, red team operations, or defensive cyber security
- Experience with Splunk, Nutanix, and other cybersecurity tools
