As a Cybersecurity Intelligence Senior Associate in Cybersecurity & Tech Controls, Intelligence Operations Team, you will be an integral member of a team that safeguards the firm's digital assets and infrastructure from cyber threats. Utilizing your extensive knowledge of cybersecurity, you will proactively identify and assess global and industry-specific attack vectors, emerging trends, and potential risks. Your expertise in threat assessment, intelligence analysis, and security research are vital for providing insights and recommendations to enhance the firm's security posture and protect its clients. By collaborating with cross-functional teams and deeply analyzing the threat landscape, your insights will inform and shape JPMorgan Chase's cybersecurity strategy.
Job responsibilities
- Proactively monitor and analyze global cyber threats and perform in-depth security research and threat hunting, such as network traffic analysis and malware hunting
- Engineer secure and large-scale AI-powered threat research systems to discover unique and actional threat intelligence
- Research and develop novel methodologies and capabilities to uncover unique threat intelligence, working with large data sets using data analysis tools and/or programming languages. Innovation is key.
- Uses frontier AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate threat research
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate threat research synthesis and risk assessment documentation, validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity and security requirements.
- Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted approaches to improve automation in threat detection and analysis workflows, ensuring outputs are validated and aligned to security expectations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related disciplines
- 3+ years of experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence, Red Team, Penetration Testing or other relevant experience in Cyber Operations disciplines
- Foundational understanding of cybersecurity concepts, common enterprise IT infrastructure components, operating system internals, logging mechanisms and networking.
- Data acumen - ability to efficiently interrogate large amount of data, and extract intelligence from semi- or un-structured data. This includes automating data collection and processing using analytical tools and/or scripting languages (e.g. Python).
- Adoption of an always-improving and efficient mindset; leveraging repeatable query syntax or automating repeatable security tasks
- Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support threat intelligence and security research workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
- Ability to review and validate AI-assisted intelligence findings and risk recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following security and data handling requirements.
