Job Description:
The Open Banking Channel is responsible for vendor and Fintech API integrations, both for inbound and outbound integrations to help clients complete their 360-degree views of their banking data. Open Banking is one of our fastest growing channels and we enable thousands of FinTechs that provide alternate banking experiences to our customers. This team builds industry standard based API solutions that enable cutting edge capabilities by facilitating customer-permissioned data sharing. We are building a team to develop target state architectures that enable business and product strategies across Consumer, Wealth, Private and Retirements lines of business. This platform supports millions of customers and stability, resiliency, and scalability are critical factors in our work.
Seeking an experienced Quality Engineer professional, who is expected to learn the business and technical components of the application, that includes the middleware, micro services, database applications and shared components to perform activities related to test planning, creation of test cases/scripts, test execution, defect management and project closure activities. The candidate is expected to have proven ability to work on complex testing projects and driven functional and non-functional testing needs. A technical background, test automation experience, and experience of working in global delivery team is a must. Candidate will get an opportunity to contribute and grow within a highly collaborative continuous improvement culture within Digital Platform Technology organization.
QA Engineer will test current and target state APIs for the Open Banking Channel that will enable our business and product strategies for 3rd party API enablement and integration across Consumer, Wealth, Private, and Retirement lines of business. QA Engineer will work with a scrum team to come up with detailed, reliable and reusable functional test plans
Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of software testing / API Testing experience
  • Experience in reviewing functional and design specifications of webservices/APIs to ensure full understanding and delivery of testing project deliverables (ex. Test Plan, Test Cases) to adhere MRA compliance
  • Experience in building testing frameworks within a large-scale enterprise environment using test automation tools such as ReadyAPI, SOAP UI, PostMan, Parasoft SOATest, Tricentis TOSCA, QTP/UFT to automate webservices/APIs and mainframe applications
  • Experience in test delivery in Agile model with focus on in sprint automation
  • Experience in testing RESTful web services and microservice architecture
  • Experience with automation of APIs using SOAPUI/Rest Assured or other API automation frameworks
  • Experience in validation content from XML, data bases and flat files using scripts
  • Solid understanding of test process: requirement analysis, test scenario design, test case creation, test scripting and status reporting to stakeholders for testing services
  • Responsible to troubleshoot, debug test automation scripts, resolve API issues as they arise for environments Expertise with test management tools such as HP ALM/qTest/JIRA
  • Hold and facilitate test plan and test case reviews with cross-functional team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in dynamic environment with minimal supervision


Desired Skills/Experience:

  • BA/BS degree in computer science, or equivalent
  • Prior technology experience in Financial Services industry, preferably consumer or wealth Management functions
  • Demonstrate understanding of Groovy scripting
  • Prior experience of working in CI/CD tools
