Member Service Consultant (Call Center)
The Member Service Consultant is the voice of Alliant Credit Union and serves a critical role in our member experience. Successful candidates have a genuine interest in helping people and finding solutions to their needs. Our Member Care Center isn’t a typical call center environment – we make it comfortable so you’re able to effectively handle a high volume of phone calls from our members with quality and care. Responsibilities
What will your day look like?
While working out of our newly remodeled office in Rolling Meadows, IL, you will be responsible for:
Providing consultative service and support to our members via the Member Contact Center AKA the call center
Processing financial transactions
Resolving member issues
Evaluating and identifying the member’s financial needs with the aid of cross-sell triggers
Qualifications

- You are able to walk in member’s shoes and act as a member advocate
- You can independently handle routine and complex member inquiries
- You are a good listener who can identify and evaluate member’s financial needs and recommend the appropriate product solutions and services using needs-based sales techniques
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of customer service experience
- At least one year of call center experience, preferred
- Upselling or cross-selling background preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working at a desk and talking on the phone for extended periods of time
- Basic math skills, strong computer knowledge and advanced typing skills
