  • Must have good organizational, leadership, interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Able to be flexible in hours of work in order to meet internal/external customer requirements (scheduled and non-scheduled overtime shifts, etc.)
  • Must demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Microsoft Office Product
  • Must be able to work in a strictly confidential manner.
  • Customer related web site training i.e. Ford eDDL/SNC/DCX Smart/GM Power Supply/SPOC/Honda, ETC.
  • Support MSM Service Requirements with respect to planning and shipping
  • Forecast weekly requirements, service and production.
  • Accurately book weekly shipments using customer assigned logistics companies.
  • Answer customer screens as to pull ahead confirmations
  • Dispute service rating violations.
  • View customer dealer claims web site for service part problems.
  • Develop a good relationship with customer planners / analysts

Other Tasks:
  • Uses knowledge of MSM's Materials Department processes in order to provide back-up coverage and support to other Production Control roles.
  • Continuously adhere to and apply the Magna Employee's Charter, the Magna Corporate Constitution, and the Magna Operational Principles in all aspects of position and interaction with others.
  • Effective use of MSM's Escalation Process.
  • Compliance to IATF customer requirements
  • Attends all scheduled meetings and training.
  • Understands and follows established rules, procedures and policies relating to position.
  • Ensure a safe working environment by observing safe work practices and by following all safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties that may be assigned.

  • Organization skills are a key to success in this position

Education/Qualifications:
  • High school/GED or equivalent with previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Computer functional for OEM Specific Container System; Microsoft Office and Epicor ERP is an asset
  • Current valid counterbalance forklift / Reach forklift
  • Knowledge of key Materials Department processes
  • Familiar with working with service parts
  • Working knowledge of the English language, both written and oral
  • Experience with forklifts, high reach truck, band cutters, compacters, tape measures and banding machines.
  • APICS Training is an Asset
