The Opportunity

We are looking for a Customer Experience Processor. At Root, the customer is at the heart of all we do. Our Customer Experience Team is the gateway to our customers’ first impressions and in this role you will support the backend processes that make their experience easier. 

Root is a “work where it works best” company. Meaning we will support you working in whatever location that works best for you across the US.

Hourly Rate: $18

How You Will Make an Impact

  • File and process financial responsibility documents according to the specific requirements set by each state

  • Process manual reimbursement requests to service our customers through their roadside assistance needs.  

  • Serve as back-end customer support for our Customer Experience and Claims teams.

  • Receive inbound emails from lien holders and foster a strong customer relationship by answering requests in a timely manner. 

  • Meet and exceed monthly KPIs/metrics assigned by the business unit.

  • Recommend improvements to improve internal tools, product/app, marketing and overall product experience.

  • Deliver consistent positive customer experience by promptly replying to customer inquiries in a timely, friendly and accurate manner.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • 1 year customer service, processing, and/or insurance industry background

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and problem-solving skills 

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high volume environment

  • Ability to handle responsibilities and assignments with limited oversight in a timely manner.

  • Friendly disposition with natural ability to read customers and use positive language in customer correspondence 

  • Willing to go the extra mile attitude 

  • Willingness to learn and ability to gain deep knowledge of the insurance product and smartphone app 

  • Detail oriented with affinity for multi-tasking 

  • Basic knowledge of Google Suite (Google Sheets, Gmail, Google Docs)

An early iteration involved 24 screens in the customer experience flow—that experience is now just three straightforward steps.
