Summary:
Role Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Team Lead – TrakSYS MES to lead the design, development, implementation, and support of Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions using Parsec TrakSYS. The role will involve technical leadership, solution ownership, team mentoring, stakeholder collaboration, and delivery of scalable MES solutions aligned with manufacturing business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of TrakSYS developers in the implementation, enhancement, and support of MES solutions.
Own technical solution design and provide guidance on TrakSYS architecture, configuration, customization, and integrations.
Analyze business and functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
Lead development and configuration of TrakSYS Content Pages, Content Parts, Forms, Workflows, Data Models, Business Logic, Dashboards, and Reports.
Design and review integrations with SAP/ERP systems, shop-floor equipment, OPC/Historians, and third-party applications.
Provide technical guidance on C#, .NET, ASP.NET, REST APIs, Web Services, and SQL Server/T-SQL development.
Review code, technical designs, test cases, and technical documentation to ensure quality and maintainability.
Drive troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, deployment, and production support activities.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, product teams, and client teams to resolve technical and delivery challenges.
Support estimation, technical planning, sprint planning, dependency management, and delivery tracking.
Mentor developers and contribute to TrakSYS/MES capability building and knowledge sharing.
Promote engineering best practices, reusable components, automation, CI/CD, and AI-assisted development.
Support Agile delivery practices and participate in technical discussions, reviews, and client engagements.
Required Qualifications & Experience
6+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years of hands-on experience in MES implementation/support.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Parsec TrakSYS development and configuration.
Strong programming experience in C#, .NET, ASP.NET, and object-oriented design.
Strong experience with REST APIs, Web Services, and system integrations.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including queries, views, functions, and stored procedures.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including Production Execution, Quality Management, Inventory Management, Batch/Recipe Management, and Electronic Data Collection.
Experience with deployment, troubleshooting, application support, and production issue resolution.
Working knowledge of IIS, Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership skills.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications
TrakSYS certification or formal TrakSYS training.
Experience in Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, Chemicals, or Manufacturing industries.
Knowledge of ISA-95 manufacturing standards.
Exposure to cloud technologies and AI-assisted development tools.
Experience leading MES implementations or technical workstreams.
Experience mentoring developers and building TrakSYS/MES technical capability.
