Summary:
We are looking for an experienced R Platform Support & Administrator to manage and support the Posit ecosystem including Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager in cloud and enterprise environments. The role involves platform administration, upgrades, troubleshooting, cloud integration, user support, and maintaining stable R/Python analytical environments.
The candidate will work closely with infrastructure, cloud, and research teams to support deployments, maintain system health, troubleshoot issues, and implement new platform capabilities.
Must-Have Skills
Experience administering:
o Posit Workbench
o Posit Connect
o Posit Package Manager
Strong Linux administration experience (RHEL/Amazon Linux)
Troubleshooting Posit application deployments and launcher issues
Experience with Slurm workload manager
Knowledge of R and Python environments, package management, and virtual environments
Experience with OAuth/OIDC authentication troubleshooting
AWS cloud experience (Lambda, Kubernetes, Cognito, PCS)
Experience with GitHub integrations
Monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and system troubleshooting
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Good-to-Have Skills
Experience with:
o FastAPI/Jupyter / JupyterLab
o Shiny for R and Python
AWS DataZone integration
Kubernetes and container/image management
CI/CD and DevOps practices
CloudFormation or Terraform
Jira workflow management
Experience working in research or enterprise analytics environments
Exposure to PoC initiatives and new technology implementations
Responsibilities
Maintain and upgrade Posit platforms
Troubleshoot deployments, APIs, authentication, and infrastructure issues
Support onboarding/offboarding users
Monitor platform and application health
Support cloud and Slurm infrastructure
Collaborate with IT, cloud, and client teams
Support security remediation and operational stability

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in R Language and Environment.
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
