As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of telecom transformation and technology projects, from business case development and funding approval through planning, execution, deployment, and go-live. The role requires close collaboration with business, technology, operations, and vendor teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. The TPM serves as the single point of accountability for project success, driving governance, financial management, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end project delivery across telecom domains, ensuring successful execution from initiation through closure and transition to support.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, milestones, deliverables, and success criteria aligned to business outcomes.
Manage project shaping, planning, estimation, funding approvals, delivery execution, deployment, and post-production stabilization activities.
Drive project governance and facilitate steering committee reviews, status meetings, and decision-making forums.
Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, resource forecasts, and delivery roadmaps.
Manage project budgets, financial tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, and overall commercial performance.
Lead Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies as appropriate to project requirements.
Monitor and manage project health through proactive tracking of milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical path activities.
Own RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies) management, ensuring timely mitigation and resolution of delivery challenges.
Assess and manage scope changes through formal change control processes, including impact analysis on timelines, cost, and resources.
Coordinate internal teams, managed service providers, third-party suppliers, and external partners to ensure delivery alignment.
Ensure quality standards, testing readiness, deployment criteria, and business acceptance requirements are achieved prior to project sign-off.
Provide concise executive reporting, dashboards, and stakeholder communications on project performance, risks, and key decisions.
Lead project retrospectives, capture lessons learned, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure seamless transition of solutions into operations and support teams, including hypercare and Early Life Support activities following go-live.
Professional & Technical Skills
Proven experience managing complex technology projects across the full project lifecycle.
Strong understanding of project delivery frameworks, governance models, and project management methodologies.
Demonstrated experience in Agile (Scrum/Kanban), Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
Expertise in project planning, scheduling, dependency management, and critical path analysis.
Strong financial management capabilities, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and variance reporting.
Hands-on experience with project management and reporting tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), SAP financial tools, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and influencing skills across all organizational levels.
Proven ability to manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations within complex delivery environments.
Experience producing executive-level presentations, dashboards, and status reporting.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills within fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
Experience working with geographically distributed teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
Good to Have
PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Practitioner, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification.
Telecom industry experience across OSS/BSS, CRM, Billing, Order Management, Provisioning, or Digital Transformation programs.
Experience managing large-scale system integration, application modernization, or consumer/business telecom initiatives.
Familiarity with release management, deployment governance, and operational readiness processes.
