Summary:
As an Application Developer, you will design, build, and configure applications to meet business process and application requirements. A typical day involves collaborating with various teams to understand their needs, developing solutions that enhance operational efficiency, and ensuring that applications are aligned with business objectives. You will also engage in problem-solving activities, providing innovative solutions that address challenges across multiple departments, while continuously refining and optimizing application performance to support the organization s goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support SAP SAM implementation and rollouts in the Service Management and Plant Maintenance space.
- Conduct requirement gathering workshops with business stakeholders to map service and maintenance processes into SAP.
- Configure and customize SAP Service Asset Management modules, including:
- Service Contracts, Service Orders, Notifications, and Billing
- Asset Maintenance, Breakdown & Preventive Maintenance
- Warranty & Claims Management
- Integration with MM, SD, and FI/CO
- Perform system testing, UAT, and defect resolution.
- Provide end-user training and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of SAM with other SAP modules.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize service and asset management processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience in SAP Service Management (SM) and SAP Plant Maintenance (PM).
- Hands-on experience with SAP Service Asset Management (SAM) functionalities.
- Strong knowledge of business processes in Service Operations, Field Service, and Plant Maintenance.
- Experience in configuring:
- Service Contracts & Orders
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Equipment/Functional Location Structures
- Good understanding of integration points with SD, MM, and FI/CO.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA environment is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to engage with business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAP Certification in Plant Maintenance or Service Management.
- Experience in end-to-end implementation projects.
- Knowledge of SAP Fiori apps for SAM/PM.
