Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. You will utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to ensure that the solutions you deliver are scalable and high-performing, contributing to the overall success of the projects you are involved in.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME.
- Collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Continuously evaluate and improve development processes to increase efficiency.
- To build high quality code, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Proven expertise in engineering and building scalable, robust, and high-performance applications in on-prem and public cloud.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microservices and Light Weight Architecture.
- Good to have knowledge on integrating with aws services (For eg S3, SQS, SNS, Lambda etc).
- Strong understanding of RESTful services and API design principles.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes and also Test-driven development experience and knowledge of automated test frameworks and tools , integrating with aws services.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure for deploying applications.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and practices to enhance team collaboration , with good knowledge of fundamentals with hands-on experience in Java (Desirable for candidate to have knowledge on latest versions - Java 17 or later) , Good Sql fundamentals and data persistence frameworks (For eg JPA, Hibernate, Spring Data JDBC, Jooq etc), knowledge on database index optimization (for eg PostgreSQL) ensuring performance efficiency, Test-driven development (Code Coverage / CI - Integration / CI - Acceptance / CI - Performance) experience and knowledge of automated test frameworks and tools, also Infra as code tools like Terraform(Desirable).
- Should be highly skilled engineer, specializing in building Java Spring Boot microservices and integrating with databases, message brokers, api-gateways etc.
- Good hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Kafka, containerization technologies, and Kubernetes, also with Kafka, containerization technologies(For eg Docker), memory leak identification and performance tuning java microservices
- Good experience on drafting API design, building rest api s and good understanding of http and other messaging protocols (JMS, Kafka etc), also in drafting API design, building rest api s and good understanding of http, messaging protocols (JMS, Kafka etc).
- Should have Specialization in building Java Spring Boot microservices and integrating with databases, message brokers, api-gateways.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microservices and Light Weight Architecture.
- This position is based at our Gurugram office.
