Summary: Configure and maintain Core HCM business processes including hire, terminate, transfer, job change, compensation change, and position management. Perform updates, enhancements, and optimization of existing Workday configuration. Manage Workday security roles and access related to HCM. Requirements Gathering & Functional Design Work closely with HR and business stakeholders to understand requirements. Develop functional specifications and solution designs. Translate business needs into Workday configurations. Integration & Reporting. Support Workday integrations with downstream systems (Payroll, Benefits, Finance, etc.). Build and maintain Workday reports (Advanced, Matrix, Calculated Fields). Troubleshoot integration issues in collaboration with technical teams. Testing & Deployment Prepare test cases and conduct unit, regression, and UAT testing. Support deployment activities including migration of configuration and data validation. Ensure system stability during updates and Workday releases. Production Support & Issue Resolution. Provide Tier 2/3 support for Workday HCM incidents and change requests. Troubleshoot configuration and data issues. Roles & Responsibilities: Expected to perform independently and become an SME. Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements for software development. Conduct testing and debugging of software applications to ensure quality and performance. Partner with HR, IT, Payroll, and external vendors. Manage Workday release updates and analyze impacts. Professional & Technical Skills: Must Have Skills: Proficiency in Workday Core HCM Experience with software development methodologies, particularly agile. Strong understanding of system integration and data management. Strong knowledge of Workday Organization Management, Supervisory Organizations, Jobs & Positions. Experience in Workday modules such as Compensation, Absence, Talent, Recruiting. Strong documentation and presentation skills Ability to design and implement user friendly interfaces. Familiarity with cloud based solutions and deployment strategies. Workday certifications (Core HCM preferred). Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management. Experience in global HR implementations. Ability to work collaboratively across teams.Proactive and detail oriented. Experience with Workday security, calculated fields, and reporting. Stakeholder Engagement Provide training, documentation, and user support as needed. Proficiency in configuring Core HCM business processes. Understanding of HR processes and best practices. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work in fast paced, client facing environments. Preferred S Understanding of Workday Studio/EIB integrations. Additional Information: The candidate should have minimum 3 - 7+ years of experience in Workday (Core HCM mandatory) This position is based at our Pune office.
