Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure that project requirements are met, overseeing the development process, and providing guidance to team members. You will also engage in problem-solving activities, ensuring that solutions are effectively implemented and aligned with project goals. Your role will require you to balance technical responsibilities with team management, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and efficiency. Roles & Responsibilities: - Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize key business metrics and trends - Create and maintain data models using DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications - Connect and integrate data from various sources (AWS Athena, AWS RDS, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Oracle) - Transform and clean data to ensure accuracy and consistency - Develop and optimize DAX calculations and measures - Implement row-level security and data governance practices - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data connectivity, performance, and visualization - Regularly update and optimize dashboards to ensure performance and relevance to business goals - Stay current with the latest Power BI features and best practices - Required Skills & Qualifications - Strong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service - Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and database design principles - Solid understanding of cloud services, preferably AWS - Experience with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query - Proficient in SQL for data querying and manipulation - Knowledge of data visualization best practices - Familiarity with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes - Expected to be an SME. - Collaborate and manage the team to perform. - Responsible for team decisions. - Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions. - Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams. - Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions to enhance team skills and capabilities. - Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery of milestones. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI). - Strong analytical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights. - Experience in developing interactive dashboards and reports using Microsoft Power BI. - Ability to integrate data from various sources to create comprehensive reports. - Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing concepts. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Power Business Intelligence (BI). - This position is based at our Pune office. - A 15 years full time education is required.15 years full time education
