Summary: As a Custom Software Engineer, you will develop custom software solutions that involve designing, coding, and enhancing components across various systems or applications. Your typical day will include collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing modern frameworks, and applying agile practices to deliver scalable and high-performing solutions that are tailored to meet specific business needs. You will engage in problem-solving and innovation to ensure that the software solutions align with the strategic goals of the organization. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - Required active participation/contribution in team discussions. - Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems. - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. - Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to enhance code quality. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cobol Mainframe. - Strong understanding of mainframe architecture and its components. - Experience with software development life cycle methodologies, particularly agile. - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve software defects efficiently. - Familiarity with database management systems and data manipulation. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Cobol Mainframe. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
