Summary:
The desired profile should have worked on PSI Metals MES suite with 9+ years of overall experience in metals manufacturing domain. The candidate must have hands-on experience in end-to-end MES implementations, along with active involvement in RFPs, estimations, and solutioning. Exposure to other MES platforms in addition to PSI Metals is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for PSI Metals MES and represent the practice in client engagements, pre-sales, and global proposals
Contribute to RFP responses — including effort estimation, solution architecture, and proposal writing for MES-related opportunities
Drive solutioning workshops with clients to gather requirements and map them to PSI Metals capabilities or hybrid MES solutions
Provide technical and functional leadership across multiple MES implementation projects simultaneously
Mentor junior consultants and guide teams through complex configuration, integration, and deployment challenges
Collaborate with architects, ERP leads, and shopfloor automation teams to define end-to-end solution blueprints
Identify gaps between client requirements and out-of-the-box PSI Metals functionality propose fit-gap solutions and customization strategies
Experience working with global delivery models and coordinating across onshore/offshore teams during pre-sales and delivery phases
Ability to conduct fit-gap workshops, solution demos, and proof-of-concept (POC) activities for prospective clients
Technical Experience:
Must have 9+ years of experience with PSI Metals MES modules including Production Planning & Scheduling (PPS), Quality Management, Material Tracking, and Yield Management
Must have hands-on experience on at least two full-cycle MES implementations — covering requirement analysis, technical design, configuration, testing, and go-live
Must have understanding on other MES platforms such as Siemens Opcenter / Aveva MES (Wonderware) / SAP ME/MII, or equivalent — and should be able to draw comparisons during solutioning
Strong experience in RFP analysis, effort estimation, solution design documentation, and client presentations
Experience integrating PSI Metals and other MES systems with ERP platforms (preferably SAP S/4HANA or ECC) for production orders, material master, and quality flows
Deep knowledge of PSI Metals interfaces with shopfloor systems — SCADA, historians, L1/L2 automation, weighing and measuring equipment
Familiarity with data exchange mechanisms: flat files, web services, REST/SOAP APIs, and database interfaces
Strong understanding of metals manufacturing processes — hot rolling, cold rolling, casting, pickling, annealing, or finishing lines
Understanding of complete E2E integration landscape: ERP MES shopfloor automation Cloud/IoT
Professional Experience:
Ability to build and sustain strong relationships with clients, operational managers, and C-level stakeholders
Outstanding communication skills — written and verbal — with ability to present complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong leadership and team management skills ability to work closely with cross-functional peers across MES, ERP, and automation domains
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality outcomes under tight deadlines
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 9 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering MES.
