Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working closely with project teams to ensure that the software meets specific business requirements. The engineer applies modern development frameworks and follows agile methodologies to build scalable and efficient solutions. Collaboration and continuous refinement of the software are key aspects, ensuring that the final product aligns with evolving business needs and delivers optimal performance in a dynamic environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- In-depth understanding of Blue Yonder/JDA WMS Discrete architecture, configurations, and integration components.
- Hands-on experience in designing, configuring, and supporting WMS solutions.
- Proven experience in debugging, analyzing, and resolving technical issues in a WMS environment.
- Ability to interpret logs, trace program execution flows, identify root causes, and implement effective resolutions.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and WMS Discrete functionalities.
- Familiarity with production support processes, including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Experience in handling critical production issues and driving RCA with preventive and corrective actions.
- Hands-on experience in code-level debugging, enhancements, and implementing custom solutions using MOCA commands and Integrator scripts.
- Ability to perform unit testing, functional testing, deployment, and ensure adherence to coding standards and compliance requirements.
- MOCA development and trigger creation
- Configuration setup and policy creation
- Page Builder and RF form development/maintenance
- Java development, including JAR file creation and maintenance
- Integrator development and algorithm logic modifications
- SQL development and database query optimization
- MSA standards and hands-on experience in creating and maintaining MSA components.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in BlueYonder Warehouse Management.
- Strong experience in software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Ability to design and implement scalable software components using modern programming frameworks.
- Familiarity with system integration and customization within warehouse management environments.
- Competence in debugging, testing, and optimizing software for enhanced performance.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in BlueYonder Warehouse Management.
- This position is based at our Chennai office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
