Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, you will engage in the development of custom software solutions that are designed to meet specific business needs. Your typical day will involve coding, enhancing components, and collaborating with team members to ensure the delivery of scalable and high-performing solutions using modern frameworks and agile practices. You will also participate in discussions to address challenges and contribute to the overall success of the projects you are involved in.

Roles & Responsibilities:
-Design, develop, and optimize interactive Tableau dashboards, workbooks, and reports.
-Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate business needs into effective data visualizations.
- Build and maintain robust data connections, extracts, and calculations in Tableau.
-Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business users to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and performance.
- Develop and enforce best practices for dashboard design, performance tuning, and data visualization standards.
-Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership on Tableau projects.
- Integrate Tableau with other platforms and tools as needed (e.g., SQL databases, ETL pipelines, cloud environments).
- Stay current with Tableau features, BI trends, and emerging technologies.
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

Professional & Technical Skills:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Tableau development and administration.
- Strong SQL skills (query optimization, joins, stored procedures).
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL processes.
- Solid understanding of visualization best practices, UI/UX principles, and performance tuning.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data integration tools is a plus.
-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
-Experience with Tableau Desktop, Server/Online administration and security management.
- Knowledge of Python, R, or other analytics tools for advanced analytics integration.
-Exposure to other BI tools (Power BI, Qlik, Looker) is advantageous.
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Tableau.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
- Experience with data integration and ETL processes.
- Familiarity with SQL and database management systems.
- Ability to create interactive dashboards and reports that effectively communicate insights.

Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Tableau.
- This position is based at our Hyderabad office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
