CT Technologist, Internal Traveler Program, Baptist South

Baptist Health is looking to add a CT Technologist to our CT Scan Department at Baptist South for our Internal Traveler Program located in Jacksonville, Florida. This position is part of our internal traveler program which is a 12-week contract with premium pay. This position is eligible to renew their contract after 12 weeks for up to two contracts in total. This is a Full-Time Days opportunity with shifts of 6:30am-7:00pm. Participation in the on-call and holiday rotation is required. 

This CT Technologist's primary responsibilities are to ensure physicians and other members of a patient’s care team receive high-quality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments. 

CT Technologist Responsibilities: 

• Performing high quality (CT) procedures in accordance to established protocols and guidelines 
• Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures 
• Monitor patient vital signs and comfort during exams 
• Operate CT equipment and ensure proper maintenance 
• Collaborate with radiologists to provide optimal imaging results 
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures 
• Adhere to safety protocols and radiation safety standards 
• Educate patients on the CT process and answer any patient questions 

Experience Requirements: 

• Less than 1 year of Radiology Technologist Experience Preferred 

Education & Credential Requirements:  

• Vocational School 
• Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) Required Or  
• Registered Technologist in Computer Tomography ARRT (CT) Required Or 
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required Or 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required  

If hired, must pass certification in Computed Tomography from the ARRT within 12 months of hire date.
