Job Description
Responsibilities
- Liaising with Project Design Team and Construction Teams.
- Reviewing and managing drawings coming from Design Team and conveying them to subcontractor and suppliers for the production of formwork shop drawings.
- Review Fit Out Shop Drawings and Technical Data Sheet coming for vendor and suppliers and subcontractors for compliance with project requirements.
- Coordination of these shop drawings with the architectual design and details.
- Obtaining quantities of different project elements.
- Support the procurement activities from a design and technical point of view.
- Attend progress meetings, discuss and suggest technical proposals.
- Maintain cordial relations and communications with designers and engineering leaders disciplines.
- Liaise between the construction and engineering teams ensuring the harmony between engineering team requirements and construction team deliverables.
- Coordinate with scheduling team to ensure submissions are in-line with contract dates, flag outstanding submissions to appropriate manager, and work with consultants to ensure future submissions are on track
- Administrate information and the technical documentation to the others working on a project to ensure that the work complies with all standards, codes, specifications, design instructions and supporting the production activities.
- Other responsibilities of such a position, along with further duties and requirements as we may reasonably request of you from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Excellent technical, communication, organizational, managerial and planning skills.
- Good working knowledge of construction processes.
- Strong solving problems/analysis.
- Great attitude and willingness to learn.
- Driven and motivated to complete work efficiently, under tight project deadlines.
- Strong time management and outstanding attention to detail.
- Team player with the ability to meet deadlines, goals and objectives.
- Ability to manage time with multiple tasks and priorities.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam. Experience with Revit is an asset.
- Site experience with formwork and fit out – architectural will be considered an asset.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Registered AIBC Intern Architect .
- 4+ years construction related experience or training.
- Experience working in a multi-national environment is a plus.
