Your Core Responsibilities:
- Managing a small team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Crypto Mid Office team - this includes:
- Identifying, investigating and resolving trade, position and cash breaks by working closely with Traders
- Daily PnL substantiation and reconciliation
- Loan management
- Working with finance on month-end cash flow reconciliation and accounting bookings
- Lead the post-trade set-up for all new crypto business initiatives; work closely with trading, developers, risk, compliance and business development teams to onboard new strategies.
- Analyse existing Mid Office processes and identify areas for improvement. Develop and propose better practices to enhance operational efficiency, risk management, and compliance.
- Collaborate with technology teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that streamline operations and improve productivity.
Your Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM, CPA) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in Mid Office/Operations/Product Control function in a financial services company with high-volume and complex operations
- Strong knowledge of financial products; crypto knowledge is a plus
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience in setting up new post-trade processes, initiating process improvements and designing automated solutions
- Owner mentality: take ownership of tasks and projects. A drive to understand the business beyond own role to add value to the overall business
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines
- Proactive, hands-on, assertive, flexible personality
