Boeing Global Services (BGS) is excited to find a Crew Chief - Aerospace Products Repair/Modification to assist in our maintenance efforts at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on tactical aircraft. Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and avionics systems, including engines, airframes, flight controls, landing gear, and weapons systems. Adhere to technical manuals, maintenance procedures, and safety regulations to ensure the highest standards of maintenance and operational readiness.
  • Component Repair and Replacement: Remove, install, and align aircraft components and systems, such as engines, landing gear, hydraulic systems, avionics equipment, and weapons systems. Test repaired or replaced components to ensure proper functioning. Conduct adjustments, calibrations, and functional checks to maintain aircraft performance.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance inspections and services on aircraft systems and components. Conduct lubrication, cleaning, and adjustments to ensure proper operation and prevent system failures. Replace consumable parts and adhere to prescribed maintenance intervals.
  • Conduct pre-flight, post-flight, and periodic inspections to identify and rectify discrepancies. Document maintenance actions, equipment status, and component life cycles accurately.
  • Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components. Inspect component before installation or usage to verify cleanliness and serviceability of components.
  • Performs tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations).
  • Collaborate with other maintenance disciplines to ensure that aircraft are ready for flight operations.
  • Assign and perform CUT (Cross Utilization Training) as required.
  • Works under general supervision.

This position requires the ability to obtain the US Security Clearance from the US Government.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Airframe, Powerplant and/or General Mechanics.
  • Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience on military fighter platforms (F-16, F-18, F-22, F-5, F-14, or F-15).
  • Military or vocational school related to discipline or equivalent.

Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S.-based payroll and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable local law.
