Become an expert on our product range
As Shaft Line Design Engineer you will be responsible for the shaft line configuration conceptual design and the selection of the driver-driven machine connecting elements, such as: fixed & variable speed ratio gear boxes, turning gear systems, starting systems, clutches, couplings & coupling guards. You will be responsible of the train dynamic study such as torsional analysis, train lateral analysis , as well as the identification of system and component requirements that might derive from those analysis and finally the preparation of the alignment specs.
As a Design Engineer will typically work independently but within a team framework, to develop and support products within the Technology groups and to achieve objectives.
- Work is still performed within defined parameters and skills are improved upon for making work decisions, applying concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolving issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
- This level requires a greater knowledge and demonstration of competencies to use the tools, materials, products, and processes in the development and support of the technology.
- Mechanical engineering requires an understanding of core disciplines including mechanics, structural dynamics, rotor dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid and aero dynamics, materials science and structural analysis.
- Delivers engineering efforts related to the design of new products and services for customer projects.
- Delivery of projects usually consists of a cross-disciplinary organization executing projects to support technology portfolio strategy, coordinating closely with Discipline, Research, and Testing teams as needed.

- Have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Energy, Aerospace, Industrial Engineering
- Have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Have strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Be able to work independently.
- Have strong problem solving skills.
- Be fluent both in English and Italian
- Be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
