Global Developed Market Flow Credit Sales
About the job:
As a Vice President within our Global Markets division, you will be responsible for driving the growth and management of our Credit franchise across the Netherlands and Scandinavia. Based in our Frankfurt hub (with flexibility to potentially be based in Paris or Milan), you will act as a bridge between institutional investors and our global Syndicate and Trading desks, delivering bespoke investment solutions across Primary issuance across benchmark deals and Private Placements and our Secondary product offering.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Client Coverage & Distribution
Primary Markets: Deliver actionable market "color" to the Syndicate desk regarding sector preferences, maturity profiles, and reverse inquiries. Ensure seamless execution of new issues and maximize order book quality.
Secondary Trading: Proactively pitch trade ideas and market our axes to Portfolio Managers and Trading desks. You are expected to contribute to desk P&L by matching our interests to those of your clients, executing desk axes and bringing actionable client interest to the platform.
Private Placements: Maintain a continuous dialogue with PP buyers to identify niche demand and steer the product offering toward live trade opportunities.
2. Franchise Development
Digital Transformation: Optimize client engagement with our electronic/low-touch platforms, ensuring our digital offering is tailored to the specific needs of Dutch and Nordic institutions.
Research Integration: Leverage house research to foster deep connectivity between our analysts and your clients, translating macro and credit views into actionable trade ideas.
Client Onboarding & Tiering: Lead the end-to-end onboarding process for new accounts. Strategically "tier" your client base to ensure resources are allocated to the most collaborative and high-potential partnerships.
3. Regional & Internal Synergy
Cross-Sell & Collaboration: Act as a representative of the broader bank, identifying cross-sell opportunities and introducing clients to other business lines (Global Transaction Banking, Corporate Finance, as well as other flow products such as Macro and EM).
Local Office Engagement: Coordinate closely with local branch management to align Credit business strategies with local office initiatives and regulatory requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
Experience: Proven track record in Credit Sales (Investment Grade/High Yield) with an established network of institutional clients in the Netherlands and/or Scandinavia.
Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of Credit instruments, market cycles, client trends and used these expertise to help steer busines strategy.
Strategic Mindset: Ability to move beyond execution to provide high-level advisory and relationship management to you client portfolio.
